Reputation Management

Catch the unhappy guest before the 2-star review.

A 4-question check at the end of the meal. Five stars go straight to Google. Anything lower pings your manager on WhatsApp — table number, rating, short note — while the guest is still sitting at the table.

Now in pilot Rolling out to hospitality partners across Cape Town and Johannesburg.

How the Smart Review Router works

Four questions. Two paths. One better reputation.

Happy path

Rating 4 or 5 → Google review

  1. 1 Guest connects to your WiFi. Logs in once — we remember them after that.
  2. 2 As their session ends (or when you trigger the check on the bill), four quick questions — all tappable, under 10 seconds.
  3. 3 Average score ≥4? Congratulate them and one-tap deep-link to your Google Business Profile to leave a public review.
  4. 4 The public review count rises. Your Google Maps ranking improves. More diners find you.

Recovery path

Rating below 4 → manager WhatsApp

  1. 1 Same flow — but the guest's score comes in at 3 stars or lower.
  2. 2 Instant WhatsApp alert to the on-duty manager: table number, rating, short comment.
  3. 3 Manager walks over. Apologises. Offers a coffee, a dessert, a free round. Recovers the moment while the guest is still in the seat.
  4. 4 The 2-star review that would have landed tomorrow morning doesn't get written. In many cases, the guest leaves so impressed with the recovery, they post a 5-star review about that.

Your weekly dashboard

See trends you could never see before.

Which server gets the warmest welcomes. Which section of the restaurant scores lowest on cleanliness. Which nights convert to Google reviews best. All in one view.

  • Weekly report emailed every Monday morning — three slides, action items highlighted.
  • Live dashboard accessible on any device.
  • Staff-level reporting (optional) — if you capture server IDs per table, we can show you who's crushing it and who needs coaching.

FAQ

Your questions, answered straight.

Is the Smart Review Router compliant with Google's review policies? +

Yes. We never pay for reviews, gate reviews behind a purchase, or suppress negative feedback from being posted. The router simply gives every guest a private place to share their experience first. Happy guests are invited to share publicly on Google. Unhappy guests are routed to private service recovery — they remain free to post a public review at any time.

What does the manager actually receive when a guest rates below 4 stars? +

A WhatsApp message within seconds containing the table number, the rating, and the guest's short comments. The manager can walk over, acknowledge the issue, and recover the moment while the guest is still seated. Most 3-star ratings turn into 5-star experiences after a simple intervention.

Do we need new hardware? +

Usually no. If your venue already has working guest WiFi, we can deploy on top of it. If you need new access points or a router upgrade, we supply hardware at cost and install it ourselves.

How many more Google reviews will we actually get? +

It depends on your venue's traffic, but typical pilot venues see their monthly review volume rise 4–8x within the first 60 days. The compounding effect on Google Maps rankings kicks in around month three.

Does it work for venues that aren't restaurants? +

Yes. Hotels, salons, car washes, medical rooms, retail stores — anywhere a guest connects to your WiFi, we can fire the service check at the right moment in the journey. We tailor the questions to your business.

Is this POPIA compliant? +

Fully. Consent is captured at the login step with clear plain-language disclosure. Guests control whether their contact details are used for follow-up marketing. We're registered with the Information Regulator and follow least-data-collected practices.
