Best email signature design services in South Africa (2026, with prices)

16 South African email signature options compared by what you get: image or HTML, hosting, installation, and the price each site showed on 7 October 2026.

Disclosure first. Hotwireless runs Hot Email Signatures, so we are one of the options on this page. We have tried to be fair: every provider is linked, every price is the one shown on their own site on the day we checked, and the list is grouped by what you get and sorted by price within each group, not with us at the top. Where a site did not say something, we say “not stated” rather than guess.

What you are actually buying

An email signature is really four things, and the price differences below mostly come down to which of the four you get.

  1. HTML, not a picture. A signature built as one image cannot be clicked or copied, and some mail apps show it as an attachment. HTML is real text with small images in it.
  2. Hosted images that keep working. The logo and photo live on a web server. If that hosting lapses, every email you ever sent shows a broken image box.
  3. Tested where your clients read email. Outlook on Windows, Outlook on the web, Gmail, Apple Mail and phones each render HTML differently.
  4. Installed for you, or not. Most design shops hand you a file. Getting it into Outlook on every machine is a separate job.

How to choose

Decide first whether you want a picture or real HTML, because that splits the list below in two. Ask whether the images are hosted, by whom and for how long. Ask whether installation is included and on how many machines. Check that it has been tested in Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and on phones, not just the designer’s own screen.

What a good signature costs in South Africa

Prices checked 7 October 2026, as shown on each provider’s page. “As shown” means the page did not say whether VAT was included. Providers are grouped by what you get, and sorted by price within each group.

HTML designed, hosted and installed for you

The provider builds the HTML and puts it on your machine. Check the hosting term, because only one of the two states it.

The providers, one at a time

SendSignatures is an online generator priced in rand; the site does not say where it is based or who owns it. You fill in fields, pick a template and copy the HTML yourself; the free tier gives one saved signature, and the once-off Pro and Team plans add hosted images and company workspaces.

Mokoena Fortified Holdings in Sandton lists a signature from R100 once-off on a page mainly about its email hosting. The page says it has clickable links and works in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, but not whether it is an image or HTML.

Funding Connection in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal is a funding-readiness consultancy with a small online shop. The R190 product page describes the design but not the file format or installation.

Brandway SA in Pretoria sells a R200 signature design through its online shop. The description does not state the format; ask whether you get an image or HTML.

Print Hut is a Cape Town printing company with a signature builder that prices as you go: an HTML file and setup guide from R350 ex VAT each, bulk discounts from five signatures, and remote install at R250 ex VAT per signature. The page does not say where the images are hosted.

Infomedia in Witbank sells a R449 signature with two variations, two revisions, logo and headshot, and the page says “clickable” and “supported on Gmail, Outlook etc.” It does not say whether delivery is an image or HTML.

Hot Email Signatures is ours. You get an HTML signature with a small animated showcase panel of what you sell, images hosted for 12 months (then R250 a year), testing in Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and on phones, and installation by a short screen share. An optional monthly plan (from R149) covers two changes a month and a monthly click report. Older Outlook on Windows shows only the first frame of the animation, which we design to stand on its own.

the right Type in Krugersdorp offers a R550 static image with one clickable link, and charges R50 per person for name changes. Decide which single link matters most.

Via Kasi Digitals in Bryanston sells two signature designs for R600 with a three working day timeline. The page does not state the format or installation.

Graphic Magic is a Pretoria studio that writes in the first person and is clear about what it sells: JPG image signatures, with Team and Company packages for extra employee versions, and a stated reason for not offering HTML. Check how the links you need will work.

Bunnypants is a South African design studio with a published rate card: static R1,040 and interactive HTML R1,560, both excl VAT, each with two design options. The HTML page says the signature must be hosted on your own domain and that costs exclude IT support to implement it.

Brandlift Digital in Cape Town sells a R1,700 static image with one clickable link, two concepts and two revision rounds, with extra versions at R150 each.

MamelodiBiz in Mamelodi East, Pretoria lists an “HTML and interactive or dynamic” signature at R2,440. The page describes the purpose of a signature rather than what is delivered or hosted, so ask for a sample.

Durban Website Designs supplies the design as vector PDF, JPG and PNG files and shows recent work, with no published price. Ask whether an HTML build is available.

WebDevine has offices in Pretoria and Cape Town and shows a portfolio of client signatures, with quotes on request.

Avanuval in Gqeberha lists email signatures alongside logos, letterheads and business cards, with no price shown.

Free options and when they are enough

If you are a sole trader emailing people who already know you, a free generator is often fine.

  • HubSpot’s generator is free, needs no account, and produces HTML from 12 templates. You do not get image hosting, testing in your clients’ mail apps, or installation.
  • Canva has a free signature maker. Its own page explains that you save the result as a PNG image, so you get a picture, not clickable text.
  • WiseStamp and MySignature are international subscription tools. WiseStamp advertises one-click Gmail and Outlook sync, and its Pro+ plan is shown at $9 a month billed annually; MySignature’s Core plan is $6 per user per month billed yearly, with a free plan its FAQ calls basic with limited functions.
  • SendSignatures (above) is the rand-priced equivalent: free for one signature, once-off for more.

Free gets you a tidy signature today, not testing in your clients’ versions of Outlook, hosting that lasts, or someone to call when the logo shows as a red cross.

Questions to ask before you pay

  • Is it HTML with real text, or a single image? If an image, which link is clickable?
  • Where are the images hosted, for how long, and what happens when that ends?
  • Which mail apps have you tested it in, and can I see it on a phone before I pay?
  • Is installation included, and on how many machines? If not, what does your guide cover?
  • What does it cost to add a staff member or change a phone number later?
  • Is the price ex VAT or including VAT, and is it once-off or a subscription?

What a South African business email must show

The Companies Act (2008), section 32, asks a company to show its name and registration number on its business letters and notices, including those sent electronically, which is generally read to include business email. If you are VAT registered your VAT number is commonly shown too. POPIA applies to the people in the signature as much as to anyone else: nothing personal beyond what the person has agreed to show. Ask your accountant what applies to you.

Where to go from here

If you want it done for you, Hot Email Signatures is one of the options above. If you would rather install it yourself, our guides for Outlook 365 and Gmail work whoever designed your signature.
